Will PF run on the hardware you specified? Yes. Your problem is going to be how MUCH are you going to try to do with PF. 2GB of RAM is not very much and will become ?a problem if you try to run IDS on the same box, etc. Other than that everything else looks fine to me for a small lab/PoC setup. As for help, we are all here to help! All we ask is that that you do your best to solve the problem first and be willing to do the leg work required to gather the necessary info we will need to assist you. Log files are always helpful and please be as specific as possible when you are trying to explain your problem. Always share whatever you have done to troubleshoot the issue before you posted to the list, this helps us rule out some things as well as keep us from doing stuff you have already done, thus wasting both yours and our time. Please try to remember this list is populated by 99% PF users, we all have jobs that carry their own demands on our time. We like to help each other, but if a problem is very vague or the person shows no signs of even attempting help themselves our enthusiasm for assisting them diminishes. Lastly I would say take your time setting up PF and read the docs carefully, when troubleshooting follow standard techniques and only make a single change at a time and keep track of everything you are doing. PF is a powerful tool and can be a simple or as complicated as you want to make it, keep it simple and you should be fine. Good luck!
