Ahhh. I see now.

The MAC vendor database does not allow you to search by MAC, but only by OUI.

Search for b86b23 and it will return MAC vendor 16316 (i.e. Toshiba).
Same with DHCP fingerprints. You must search for a fingerprint string such as 
“1,15,3,6,44,46,47,31,33,249,43”.


These are not intuitive, I agree.
The error message could be a bit clearer too.

By the looks of it there is nothing wrong with your fingerbank itself.
