I am referring to the OpenWrt CHAOS CALMER 15.05 guide here:
https://packetfence.org/doc/PacketFence_OpenWrt-Hostapd-15-05_Quick_Install_Guide.html#_step_6_troubleshoot
and Here:
https://packetfence.org/downloads/PacketFence/doc/PacketFence_OpenWrt-Hostapd-15-05_Quick_Install_Guide.pdf
I wanted to see if 15.05 would fix the multiple SSID issues I was having
with 14.07. I started with a fresh copy of 15.05 and after following the
guide to a T, the access point doesn't function correctly. It doesn't seem
to take in the extra settings that were configured in packetfence's version
of hostapd.sh.
My /var/run/hostapd-phy0.conf file does not include settings such as
auth_server, auth_port, auth_secret, acct_server, dynamic_vlan etc... I
have these settings specified in my /etc/config/wireless file. I also have
packetfences hostapd.sh file in /lib/netifd.
I don't seem to find anything in my packetfence.log file, so I don't think
the clients are authenticating at all.
Unrelated, but there is in error in the documentation. This:
curl --insecure
https://github.com/inverse-inc/packetfence/tree/devel/addons/hostapd/hostapd-15.05.sh
> hostapd.sh
Should be this:
curl --insecure
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/inverse-inc/packetfence/devel/addons/hostapd/hostapd-15.05.sh
> hostapd.sh
