Hi,

What would be the best way to get from pf-5.6.1/wheezy to pf-7 on jessie?

I guess:
- install jessie
- import the mysl database from 5.6.1
- run all database upgrade scripts
- install pf-7
But then:

Copy the config from the old /usr/local/pf/conf to the new server, and
run the config update scripts, to convert to the new v7 config layout?

I tried it, didn't turn out so nice. :-|

Is is perhaps a better idea to simply skip importing the config, and
reconfigure from scratch? And, with an imported/updated v-5.6.1
database, would we still have all the existing users / nodes?

What are things to keep into mind then...?

Or should I just spend more time, getting things running with the
updated old config files?

Any experiences here?

MJ
