No, in fact we just executed an “apt-get update”, followed by an “apt-get
upgrade” on our Debian 8 which is hosting PF.
After that, we noted that the PF admin interface was no more accessible. From
this point, we tried to restart PF services with no success.
That’s why I’m going to try the update to PF v7 according to the doc page you
sent me. But I really have no clue if this may work or not.

You tried to upgrade to 7.0.0? correct?
Did you follow the instruction related to Debian in the UPGRADE guide?
There is a specific step for removing mysql-server-5.5 and installing
mariadb-10.1 since we had issues with a "normal" update path.
Have a look here, that should resolve your issue.
