Hi,

We're trying to see if PacketFence would be able to reach our target for
our wireless infrastructure, but while looking for related information, I
have mostly seen unanswered posts/emails.

Basically, we're trying to use an external IdP that could be queried either
through SAML, OpenID or OAuth. Ideally, we'd use 802.1X, but we'd be fine
going through an employee captive portal approach as well. Is this
something that could be achieved with PacketFence?

The problem is that I haven't been able to make this properly work yet.
I've noticed that when I use the "Preview" function of the portal, I get
some logs on the IdP side, so that's a good starting point. But, it
complains about a few things and based on one note about OpenID/Oauth
authentication not working through portal preview, I imagine that's normal.
However, when I use pftest against the authentication source, it doesn't
even send any packets going out on port 443. Is that normal? Is pftest
supposed to work against all types of sources?

I've also tried to simply use the portal on a test SSID, but unfortunately,
even if I do see some packets going back and forth on port 443, between the
client and the PF server, the page stays blank.

Any clue on any of these would be accepted!

Thanks a lot!
Steve
