I hope this is the correct list to ask questions.... I'm using VLAN 9 as guest/registration. I've watched the DHCp packets and verified that PF is telling the clients to use it as the default router and DNS server. The problem is, when the browser tells us that a login is required for network use, we don't get the captive portal page unless we add a static entry to the hosts file for the IP/name of the PF server. I don't expect that this is the expected setup however, I cannot figure out why the page isn't work. Without the static host entry, I see the clients sending DNS requests to PF but no response at all. With the static host entry, I see a response for every request made it it. Any suggestions?
