Hey Rashaad,

Just hoping for some guidance on how to approach adding two additional nodes to an existing/functional/stable 3 node cluster.

I didn't try that, yet, but I extended some already running single PF to a clusters. The cluster guide (https://www.packetfence.org/doc/PacketFence_Clustering_Guide.html#_performing_an_upgrade_on_a_cluster) contains information in the upgrade section how to seperate a node and the add it again.

I'd go for it like this:
- clone one of your nodes (maybe you'll need to stop it from being an active member like described in the cluster upgrade section) - before adding the clone to the network make sure to adjust the relevant IP configuration and hostname - like described in the upgrade and installation instructions for a cluster: make sure that your new node starts with a defined state (galera-autofix, pf-cron)
- add entries for the new node to your cluster.conf
- follow the instructions to sync the new node to the cluster
- check keepalived and mariadb whether they integrated
- check whether configuration changes are distributed to the new node
- check a reboot

If you're running three nodes you'll need to add **two new nodes** otherwise galera database cluster will not work.

I'd not try this in production. I'd test and practice in a testing environment. If you need professional help preparing that work feel free to contact me. As time allows I'd answer on the mailing as well if you run into blockers.

Expect trouble. :)

Chris
