In Packetfence code, you will find more info on monit here: https://github.com/inverse-inc/packetfence/tree/devel/addons/monit For the httpd-portal https://github.com/inverse-inc/packetfence/blob/devel/addons/monit/monit_checks_configurations/00_packetfence.tt#L71 To increase the timeout and make it persistent, the best way is to remove the current monit check and recreate a new one with a similar name (not the same) but an increase timeout and add this one directly in monit in a new file. Add it to your doc, because I do not think that we are doing backup on monit configuration yet.
