In the past (whatever that means ;-) we left the old distribution there building for half a Year after being EOL in OBS. 12.3 last official update was published Jan 29th, that would give us end of July. I did not really like 12.3 as it was just a half-way between the init systems, and 13.1 being nominated as Evergreen, there is an increased benefit to update old systems. Please note, that once we stop building for 12.3 the last build results will still be available on the mirrors - depending on their capacity - the Jacobs University mirror for instance goes back to 11.1! After a serious hardware failure I lost the workers swkj15-swkj19, so we are limited to my "old" workers and the generous donation of one (and a half) workers by Olav for x86 - and currently only one worker for armv7l provided by Boris. So yes, we need all the build power there is for the current distributions! TL;DR: We should agree on a deadline for 12.3 - perhaps already end of May - and then stop building an publishing packages.
