P.S. for the record, I think that "CharPtr" is a
complete abomination. I really think that MetroWerks/Palm
ought to consider re-doing their header files using
the more standard approach of designating pointers
with '*'. At least those to primitive types.
For that matter, if you want "opaque" handles to your
private types, you should again not put "Ptr" on the
name -- it just encourages people to look inside and
see what the structure is. Use "WindowHandle" or some
such ... a "Handle" could be a pointer, or it could
be an index into some sort of system-private array
where the actual pointers are kept -- we really don't
know.
But -please- ditch the "CharPtr", pretty please?
