  ok.. maybe metroworks should write ..... wait for it.... 

  a Java version!!! :)) it will have a consistant look and feel
  across all platforms.. including mac, windows, linux, solaris,
  irix etc.. (as long as Swing is used).. 

  sure it may run slower.. but there are new advances in Java
  (hotspot, jit compilers).. 

  maybe this is a solution to all our needs?
