Be careful not to fall into the reality distortion that comes with
interacting solely with developers. Currently, the majority of sales goes
to end users (the 'horizontal' market), though vertical is growing. And
the majority of horizontal users don't go very much beyond the
names/dates/todo "PIM" functionality.
That's the Zen of Palm thing -- less is more, keep it simple, etc.
Obviously, there are exceptions, but make sure you're looking at the big
picture when you think about this stuff. ...and just because they're in
marketing, don't assume they've got their heads up their butts. After all,
WinCE devices are being marketed almost solely on technology, and last I
checked Palm had nearly 80% of the market and sales volumes are growing...
