Not to prolong this thread much further, but I've hoped, as time
has moved along, that the Palm OS would become more and more NewtonOS-like
(at least as far as the interface is concerned). Once the Newton
guys jumped ship and headed out to Palm I thought this was a no-brainer.
However it has been a while and the OS has not changed much at all.
This is not to say that the Palm interface is not excellent (IMO it
most certainly is), but I always sigh when I think of how much I
enjoyed simply *working* on the MessagePad, whether it be opening
applications or popping up a menu. <shrug, blush>
Of course, as more and more time passes since I have actually
used one everything just gets remembered better and better and I
cannot seem to remember any of the faults. :) Oh, well. <sigh>
