It looks like your hotsync is in INSTALL-RESTORE mode.. .that is, it would take all items in the BACKUP folder and restore them TO THE PALM if they weren't there, (or maybe if the one on the PALM was older?). Look in your CONDUIT SETUP and see if your BACKUP CONDUIT is set to 'normal' or 'bakup' vs. DESKTOP OVERWRITES PALMPILOT.
