I guess I wasn't making my question clear enough. I was talking about the
Owner's name
which user typed in under Pref, Owner, and "This Palm III is ownered by:". I
originally thought
this would be the same name used for Hotsync, but appearently it was not.
The FAQ example
showed me how to find the "User name" for Hotsync, which will be useful, but
it is not what I need
right now.
