Database, Conduits and Backup bits

Hi all,

Question for all of you.  I am looking into writing my first conduit.  The
practical application is that I want to one-way sync (to the desktop only).
This isn't going to be a problem.  The problem is this: what if the users
Palm device crashes?  Is it possible to both backup the database and sync?
Does Palm have a recommendation for this?  Have other people done this?
