There really isn't a way to unreserve them. Well, there is, but it isn't
worth the effort since there are millions (billions?) of crids possible.
(Someone else can do the math...)
These aren't like urls which are displayed to the user, so they don't need
to spell anything or be readable. They just need to be unique. Hopefully
you'll keep on writing software and can use the crids later... but if not,
don't worry about it.
