Sort of -- more of a design limitation.  But you did correctly identify the
problem.

Forms can only restore the input focus to fields they know about.  Since
there's no registry, there's no way to tell the table or the form about
your field.  Also, since there's no event in this case, there's no way to
process the activation yourself.

I think adding an activate event would probably solve this issue.
