this is great for Fields. but in several places i draw strings myself, and
i would like to have a way to detect whether the string should be RTL or
not. i also need to rearrange the columns in my table when running on an
RTL-enabled system, but that's another story.
i do plan to follow up with the Penticon devs, because i have some code that
manipulates a Field (using nothing but FldInsert) and while it works on all
Palm devices and POSE, it crashes if you have Penticon Hebrew support
enabled.
(sorry for my confusion in the original post -- the user who told me about
the problem forgot to mention that the Hebrew support was a 3rd party
add-on -- later he told me that in Israel, all Palms are sold with the
Penticon add-on pre-installed; i don't know if that's accurate or not,
though).
