And as for the question of whether you can beam something to a device which
doesn't have your software on it yet, and have no dialogs come up and have
the application just be silently installed: no, because that'd make writing
a virus just too easy. :-)
The user has to confirm before an application coming in from IR gets
installed on their device. Using the exchange manager lets an installed
application accept its own data without requiring a confirm, should it
choose to. See the documentation on how to do that.
