David, thanks for the answer and that is exactly what I expected to hear.

And I in no way under estimate the importance of physically being at 
PalmSource.  But for those developers, like me, who do Palm programming as 
a side hobby (and not a full time thing), it is very difficult to make it 
to PalmSource.  Most of the reasons revolve around money issues (entrance 
fee, flight, hotel, etc.), getting time off from work, and other schedule 
conflicts.

I would have nothing more than to attend to listen to the key notes and 
meet fellow developers/palm enthusiasts.  But my schedule does not allow 
it, so just making sure us "side-liners" still get a crack at some of the 
neat stuff :)

But enough of my whining... thanks for the answer.
