I've been fighting with CodeWarrior (5+2patches on Win98, POSE 3.0a2,
3.1debug) for the past few weeks with just plain strange stuff happening
withit not handling breakpoint properly. Finally today, I can't get the
debugger to stop at the beginning of PilotMain. When I enable "Stop at
beginning of 'main' when launching applications" option on the "IDE
Preferences | Debugger | Global Settings" panel and run the application, the
debugger window is never displayed and the application runs. When I disable
the option and set a breakpoint at the first line of PilotMain, I get the
debugger window but it never stops at the breakpoint! Argh! I still can't
believe I paid money for this. This is the kind of thing I'd expect from
early versions of the freeware tools. I can't believe the people at Palm
use and recommend this so-called "tool".
I wonder if it's like other Windoze apps... reinstall to fix... I'll try
tonight... grumble... grumble... grumble...
-Paul
PS: how much pain and suffering will I have to endure to switch back to gcc
and friends?
