Fatal Exception using GoType driver

I have an app that displays a "Fatal exception" only when
using the GoType keybaord.  The user has programmed two of his GoType
keys to be a Done and Cancel.  When either of these is pressed
the error occurs.  One odd thing is that the form has no Done
or Cancel button.

Anyone have any idea why the app would exhibit a fatal exception
using the GoType keyboard.  No button pushes, on the divice, has
ever caused this error and POSE never displays this error.
