timeout in NetLibReceive() doesn't work

 I'm using the function NetLibReceive() and it works fine for getting bytes
 in the palm and in POSE. When the other side doesn't send me bytes the
 timeout doesn't occur, not even after minutes !!
 
 I've tried putting numbers directly in the timeout param.
 
 Is there any option I should turn on for this to work ?
