Error #773 is a serial timeout error. Poser and the ROM Transfer application
were unable to hook-up with each other for some reason. I suggest:

a) Making sure you can HotSync between your PC and your Palm device. This tells
you that there is a viable connection between the two, and that you know what
port your cradle is on.

b) After doing that, disabling HotSync (I usually go to the setup menu and tell
it to use the wrong COM port, but you might try exitting it altogether) and then
trying the ROM download sequence.

That always works for me. And I've got 3 computers, 5 cradles, and 8 Palm
devices to sort out...

You should go to the Palm Devzone (http://www.palm.com/devzone/) and
download the latest Palm OS Emulator (POSE). It's far better than the
old copilot, and runs on NT. It also can upload the ROM image from your
Palm V. If you get errors during the transfer, try again using a lower
speed.
