I recently had one of my Palm Pilot
programs (Memo Safe) translated
into French. The person I used lives
in Switzerland, and all the work was conducted
by e-mail. It was a very positive experience, so
I thought other developers might want to know
about his work.
It took him less than two months to complete the task,
and he did an outstanding job! His rates were very
reasonable, and he was happy to accept part of his
payment in royalties against future sales of the translated version.
He also has programming experience, so he was able to
edit using the dialog editor I use without any problems,
which saved me a lot of work!
I highly recommend Stephane for anyone who is considering
French or German versions of their software. If your product
revenue is not high enough to justify using a standard
