Don't know that recipe but I've gotten the edit command bar icons without
using the built-in menu or having to manually add them. They automatically
appear when a field has focus and there's something to do (i.e. Undo only
when there's something to Undo, Paste only when there's something in the
clipboard, etc.). I'm sure there are other criteria (like having the
requisite edit menu entries) but my app already meets them without
additions. I wonder what it's looking for in the way of menus... It can't
be the IDs. Must be something like the shortcut character or text.
It's actually pretty cool and I think it's a great idea to hide them when
not necessary. Good job Palm.
