I've always developed PalmOS apps on a PowerBook, so I can't do a direct
comparison. However, I will say that I have seen PC developers get a Mac
for PalmOS development, but have not heard of the reverse.
This could very well be because the PC version of CodeWarrior is so bad
(compared to its PC competition) - not because Mac CodeWarrior is so good.
However there are other advantages to using a Mac for PalmOS development,
such as the simulator libs (I'd hate to live w/o them!)
