Being here in Silicon Valley, I have been able to find steady work. However, I still
consider Palm development a specialist
market. Thus, irregular demand but very high hourly rates. I don't feel the third
part Palm API developer market to become
mainstream for at least another year or so.

That is what I'm finding. Pretty much, there is a lot more demand for a Perl coder
since everyone is rushing into Internet
start-ups left and right. It is your good ole supply and demand. There is a very
heavy demand for Perl but it is my experience
that requirements for Palm developers are a bit spotty.
