Hi. I have some serial port code which works under POSE 3.0a4 but not on the actual device (Palm VII). This appears to be the opposite problem of what others have experienced on this list (code works on the device but not POSE).
More specifically, receiving data does not work. I am using the Serial Manager available under PalmOS 3.2.x. There is no problem with opening/closing the serial port on a Palm VII that I'm testing with, but nothing appears to be received. I have configured the port to (both 2400 and 4800 baud) 8N1 with no handshaking since the only RS-232 lines coming off my serial device are send/receive/ground.
And yes, I tried a terminal emulator on the real device to make sure that it's seeing the data. (I used the "Online" application from Mark/Space).
POSE is running under Windows NT, but I will be trying it out under MacOS 8.6 as well shortly. Does anyone have any thoughts? I searched the list archives for this list and did not see anyone posting about the same problem I'm having and also searching the Knowledge base doesn't give any help (except for some very old sample code).
Thanks.
