Enable the 'Use TCP/IP Sockets' in the IDE Preferences.  This option always
caused a connection problem in the past but for some reason helps the
situation with R6, POSER 3.0d4 & Win98.

CW has always been a little more stable with NT.  But not everyone has the
option to use it.
