You want to handle the sysAppLaunchCmdSystemReset launch code, as you are. But there
isn't much you're allowed to do at that point because the system isn't fully "up" yet.
You have to let the reset handler finish notifying the apps. You might try scheduling
an alarm for several seconds later - that'd probably work.
