Its actually not that hard, especially if you structure you code in the same way as
the original MemoPad examples. You tend to use
the same 'Load' routine whether you're scrolling, refreshing, initially drawing etc.
The only other way I can think of is to pass the reference using the Feature Manager.
This is something I do for sort routines
given that you can't pass more than 16 bits into the sort fx.
