It's a legacy in the IDE dating back to the days when the Metrowerks/Palm
debugger was a separate standalone app from the IDE. Reverse the letters
'BDWM' and you get 'MWDB' or MetroWerks DeBugger. It's BDWM on Windows
because it's in reverse endian-ness from the Mac. The IDE is looking for the
debugger to get the error message to be displayed, but because the
standalone debugger registry key no longer exists you get this error.
And that's our history lesson for the day...
