I have an app which is displaying dates like "Fri, May 5, 2000" using the
sysPrefs.longDateFormat and the DateToDOWDMFormat API. I am trying to
build a version of the app under 3.5 which will support color when
appropriate and which will also run on earlier versions of the OS
(naturally). If I run this new version on OS 3.5, all is well. But if I
run it on OS 3.0, 3.1 (Visor), or presumably other earlier OSes, the date
is diplaying things like "base a l5, 2000"; in other words, the day of
the week and the month name are screwed up badly. Further, when I do a
"SelectDay" instead of "M T W ..." appearing over the days of the week I
see "P l o i d b !"!!
Does anyone know what is going on? I've tried using "SelectDayV10" and
"SelectDay"; that didn't make a difference.
