Note that some older doc compression routines do not handle bytes with
the high bit set (128-255), and that doc "compression" of such binary data
can result in data expansion (up to 11%). Also note that there is a bit
in the doc format header that allows the format to just contain uncompressed
data (a similar format to PalmOS file streams, except with a header record.)
IMHO. YMMV.
