It sounds like you're still calling StopApplication when you get a reset launch code.
That's another launch code that you get which doesn't allow access to globals. Instead
of exiting if you get a sync notify, exit if you don't get a normal launch (or a goto
launch). You want the code to do nothing for all the launch codes you don't care to
handle. I would expect slightly different behavior than you describe, so my diagnosis
might be wrong.
