The memory leak, I would have to agree is extremely marginal. I test
(literally, that's my job) on several different devices (Handspring, Palm
IIIx, PalmV, PalmVx, Palm III, Palm VII, POSE with all of the ROMs, etc.)
and I ran Victor for the first time on a PalmV with 3.5 flashed to it and
only 3.4 bytes were "orphaned" and "recovered" - I think I read that right.
I can't count the number of times I have performed a soft reset on this
particular unit. Certainly more than the average user would.
Again...a minor issue, especially when compared to selling a product as
16-bit color when it is truly 12-bit ala HP. :)

We have actually covered it already here; the problem is that memory
allocated with FtrPtrNew() isn't being automatically freed upon a reset. A
patch is in the works, but I don't have details on distribution and so
forth.
It isn't a big deal to normal users; only those who reset frequently, or
run software that allocates tons of stuff in feature pointers and crashes
regularly :-) So we developers probably care much more than most people
would! But as I say, folks are working on an official patch.
