I currently have a similar situation.  An application that compiles with the
3.1 SDK and then runs on all OSs currently does not work on OS 3.5 when
compiled using the 3.5 SDK.  The problem is the app's table does not accept
the custom table type property (it defaults to only check boxes) and the
custom draw routine does not get called.
I'd be interested in your final resolution.  I have no idea why an app that
is gremlin friendly refuses to work with the new SDK.  (I'm sure is
something wrong with the app but I can't seem to figure out what, no errors
are being reported).
