Hello all,

Here is a newbie question for you.

What is the easiest way to create a .PDB database on a PC (Win98 SE) from a
file (let's say it's some text file)?

Ultimately, I want to be able to use the Palm Desktop Install Tool to
"download" a read-only file to a Palm. This file would be subdivided into
read-only records understandable by my .PRC application. I do not wish to
learn how to write conduits if I can avoid it. As I said, just sending the
database via Install Tool would be fine. However, I am perfectly aware that
I can't just rename the .TXT file into a .PDB file and then go... By the
way, the final data file to be downloaded is NOT a text file, but assume it
is so for the sake of the question.

I suppose that I would need to translate the .TXT file into some kind of
binary file that has a proper header, etc. What is the format of a .PDB
file?

Or is there some kind of convertor somewhere that I can use? I currently
use CodeWarrior r6 for Windows for my development efforts.

Thanks,
