What do you mean?
It shouldn't be doing this if you are asking for no conversion -
compression - whatever in your inet lib setup.
Do you have an example URL that has a JPG that is coming across as a
GIF? (normally it should convert all to palm bitmaps if you leave the
conversion suppression off).
