Standard CRC-16, with 0 seed, stored big endian (if memory serves, it's stored
in a UInt32 which kind of confused me at first as I thought it was a CRC-32,
but it's just a CRC-16 with the two high bytes zero in the UInt32). The Palm's
CRC functions work just fine for this. Yes, you can just generate these on the
fly on the Palm if you want--I generate overlays at runtime in SkinTW and
IconFix.
