Thanks for the input. I did find AlmSetProcAlarm in the documentation and seems to be able to be used for I want, correct?
On the email thing, I saw in the documentation that it can be put in the outbox without the editor being turned on if I set the Edit parameter to False. If my versamail/chattermail is set to automaticlaly connect, I assume it would just send it on its own without interaction. Though I will look into the HTTP post you suggested. I didn't state before, but I use TomTom on my Treo for navigation and would like this application I am describing to grab the incoming GPS data and do this stuff in the background. Any idea if the GPS data stream is readible if TomTom is aceessing it, too? Does it get locked and I don't really have access to it. What got me thinking it is possible is something like ChatterMail pops up an alert when I receive an email no matter what program I am in and it doesn't really affect that program. I just want to take that one step further and not pop up the alert but just process the GPS string, format it, drop it in an email per a predetermined format, and have it email on its own. What kind of interruption can I expect to TomTom with this? -- For information on using the ACCESS Developer Forums, or to unsubscribe, please see http://www.access-company.com/developers/forums/
