I've got a few questions about the 16 bit colour on the prism, and the future of PalmOS. Perhaps someone knows the answers?
- On the new visor prism devices, what is the gain of using a Direct Colour bitmap? Is the only feature of using a direct colour bitmap the ability to specify a transparent colour index? - Suppose you specify a 16-bit colour bitmap, without using direct colour. Will the OS assume that you are using a 5:6:5 rgb bit distribution in all future PalmOSs?
