Download the cable schematic and disable the control line that's connected to the hotsync trigger. Or you could make sure your app is running and shortstop the hotsync trigger so the OS doesn't see it. Or modify the unit's preferences so your app is executed when the cradle or modem syc message is issued (in the Prefs application)
