Supply problems. FLASH and screens are/were in short supply. I'm rather sure my company purchased every IIIe and IIIxe in a 100+ mi radius (and we still have back orders). I would hope the problems would be cleared up soon. Last I heard, it was also affecting Handspring. Their web site show all devices in stock but are really backordered a couple of weeks.
