Hi all-
I have been trying to find the actual protocol/communication which takes
place between the Palm device and the HotSync manager. I know it is using
the Serial Link Protocol (Slk calls) and does some type of Command and
Command ACK transactions.
All I've found is documentation on the high-level flow (in the PalmOS
docs), but what is the actual data being sent back and forth (i.e. I
know the first packet sent from the HotSync Manager is for baud rate
negotiation and somewhere in there the User Name is being sent from the
Palm device to the HotSync Manager). I've attempted to look at the
pilot-link source code, but it is hard to narrow down the actual
transactions that take place..
Does a low-level flow exist anywhere that is publicly available? I'd prefer
to not have to reverse engineer the entire thing!
Thanks for the help!
Joe
