Hopefully someone won't tell me this already exists...

tAIN ID 1000 is the App Icon name for Launcher. This name is, of course,
very short (sometimes frustratingly so!), limited to some unspecified (45
maybe) number of pixels wide (definitely not characters, but pixels). But
even in the standard PalmOS, there are other places (the Launcher List
View, the Delete window, etc.) where a longer, more descriptive name
would be helpful for some apps. Why not add support for tAIN ID 1001
which is a "long name" (and maybe even an ID 1002 which is a "really long
name") and different aspects of the OS, or different Launcher
substitutes, could use whichever of those names they chose to, based on
the context and space available. Of course if no tAIN 1001 or 1002
existed, the OS or the app would default to ID 1000.

Given inflation, that idea must be worth at least $0.02.
