The key is what rights come with the source. If it means I can
compile it and make as many copies of the binary, then I would buy 1
source instead of 6+ binary.
If I can't "use" the source, then the price is too high.
My GPL stuff is source-licensable. I've only had inquiries about "why
didn't you make it BSD so I can use it without posting changes"
though.
And the short economic answer is that anyone who could save $50 in
time or effort by purchasing your source would. If they would save
more they would pay more.
